Bear-ly Here

Teddy bears.  Who doesn’t love a teddy bear?  I realized that I didn’t have a teddy bear in glass and it was time to make one.

I have already created the llama, shown here and wanted to do a teddy bear in this fashion. This llama is approximately 5” x 7” and slides in the top of a wooden frame that can sit on a flat surface or hang on the wall.

The teddy bear project would be a new one from start to finish, so first I went to my pattern books to find the basic shape of a happy teddy bear.  From there, it’s a multi-step process to get to the finish line, which is shown in this short video below.

This gets my project up to using the kiln.  From entering the kiln to the finished framed art includes another set of steps that I will work on and show the results next week.

We enjoy making items that represent special times or special people.  If you want a special item, contact us by emailing here or contact us on Facebook.
